Yes, my career background is a bit unusual, but that’s because I love learning new things and thrive in generalist roles where I can wear lots of hats. Also, I excel in positions in which I can express myself creatively, whether that’s writing website content, creating marketing materials, or developing a website.

Provided administrative, paralegal, and technical support to a small law office, including tracking billable hours and invoicing clients, scheduling resources to meet deadlines, creating documents, maintaining files, automating manual processes with new workflows and templates, filing documents in the D.C. courts, Md., and Va. courts. Managed Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases from beginning to close of case, including routing document filing and entering of client financial information, following the D.C. and Maryland rules for same. Served as in-house tech support and office bookkeeper. Worked effectively in a chaotic environment with rapidly shifting priorities.

Writer of over 100 published articles (with many more written), including social media posts, for the Mobility Lab website, a research arm of Arlington County Commuter Services social media posts related to urban planning and transportation demand management, furthering organizational goals of reducing single-occupancy vehicles from DC roadways to ease congestion and improve air quality. Edited stories submitted by guest writers; posted stories in WordPress; performed website maintenance; provided support at outreach events and seminars; wrote proposals for new business; performed ghost writer duties for management.
